There's sin in the camp
In the Bible, why isn't "purports to speak for God" considered a sin? Our favorite reverend is at it again. Update: Here's a link to video of Pat Robertson's speech. (Hat tip: Talking Points Memo) Also, a real quick point here: Just in case Pat wasn't aware. But ummm, God loves Muslims too. He really does.

Wow. Talk about balls. I'm surprised he didn't finish his quote with, ".. or God will make you sick and you'll be sorry!"
That was my favorite quote as well. Why do people continue to take this guy seriously? The more he talks, the more I'm convinced he ISN'T speaking for God.
The more he talks, the more I'm convinced he should be committed. And I'm a psych nurse.

Actually, it is--it's called taking the Lord's name in vain.
See what we need is for the Old Testament God to come back and reinstate the whole idea of "Smiting". You muck about and you get smited(smote upon?), then there would be a lot less big hair and make up on these religious shows, in fact there would be a lot less flammable material in general!
Smit.
Shazam.
I see.
